About batari Basic. batari Basic, or "bB," is the language used in the creation of Atari 2600 games. bB is actually a compiled language, which runs on a computer, but generates a binary folder that can be read by and run on the Atari 2600 emulator or can be utilized to create a cartridge that can operate on an actual Atari 2600.
VisualbB running in Linux
Finally, it looks like Mono supports VisualbB. To run VbB, type "mono VisualbB.exe" and it should run. It isn''t perfect (it tries to access a non-existent Windows registry) but so far most things seem to work. My distro already had mono, but to get vbB working, I had to install mono-vbnc, which are Visual Basic libraries.

Try removing ALT batch file and BB compiler path once again, and make sure to save changes on the bottom right of the setting page. Exit and run the install_win.bat file in bB v1.5 again, you should get two messages of success in the command prompt. Then start up VbB once again and and have a look.

The problem really is that batariBasic should already be configured correctly in order for vbB to work (see bB release notes). If you can''t compile outside of vbB, it probably won''t work in the IDE. One thing it does do is see if the environment variable is pointing to a location where batariBasic is installed.

Compiles for me, dawg. Try creating a new project. Make a new directory off of your C drive called "C:Dev". Go into VisualbB and create a new project under that C:Dev folder. In the default.bas file that VisualbB creates cut and paste your existing hello world code. Save, compile and run.
